MY FAVORITE CLAY MASKS

Hey guys! Summer is here and the scorching heat increases oil and sweat on the face, which can lead to acne for most. Rather than applying hydrating masks, I prefer clay masks to combat my oily skin.

Here is a post talking about my favorite clay masks and why I recommend them.

1. MARKALAK – PAHADI LOCAL

This clay is a mineral rich himalayan clay which I like to mix with rose water to make a paste. It contains no chemicals and really brightens my skin and reduces redness of acne with one use. It retails for rs.725 which is great for 100g of natural goodness. Also, a big plus point is that this mask dries in under 10 minutes which is great for those in a rush. It also doesn’t dry the skin after use like most clay masks do.

2. GREEN CLAY – FABINIDA

I use this mask on days when I want to exfoliate and remove oil at the same time. The powder when mixed with milk(dry skin) or rose water (oily skin) dries quickly and leaves the skin extremely soft and exfoliated. It contains corn starch, neem powder, river sand and other enriching ingredients along with green clay. It retails for rs.350 for 75g which is a good price point.

3.INDIAN HEALING CLAY – AZTEC SECRET

I saved the best for the last. This mask claims to be the world’s most powerful facial! It is 100% natural calcium bentonite clay and can be used for facials, acne, bodywraps, clay baths, foot soaks and even insect bites. It is recommended to mix the clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar in a non- metal utensil(you can use water also) for better results.

It is cleanses the pores and really helps in reducing acne. In a week I saw a difference in my skin with even tones and less blemishes. It retails for rs.900 for 1 pound and I only use 1 teaspoon per use. Some disadvantages are that it takes 15-20 minutes to dry (5-10 for sensitive skin) and it tightens and pulsates the skin when it dries down which one might find uncomfortable, I personally don’t.

I highly recommend this mask for those struggling with severe acne because it’s amazing.
